The Stars of The Lady of Shalott:
Victoria Rigby
- The Lady of Shalott
Victoria Rigby is a first-year undergraduate reading English at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, and is an ex-student of Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School. Having trained in classical ballet, tap, and modern dance from an early age, she developed a love of acting in her early teens and has taken on roles as diverse as Miranda in The Tempest and Holly Seabé in Anton in Showbusiness.
Also a mezzo-soprano, Victoria especially enjoys the challenge of fusing acting, singing and dance in the genre of musical theatre. Her previous roles include Polly in The Boy Friend and Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes.
In the near future Victoria looks forward to appearing as Sister Robert Anne in Nunsense, and Marianne in Sense and Sensibility, both in Cambridge. Though she had ultimately intended to pursue a career in the theatre, since becoming involved with The Lady of Shalott is keen to broaden her filming experience.
Victoria has had a wonderful time filming The Lady of Shalott and would like to thank Nick, Pauline, Chris and Jo for all their guidance and kindness.

Jason Kingsley - Sir Lancelot
Jason owns Tournament Stud a business founded to breed and train high quality horses for the film, television and re-enactment industries. Set in 160 acres of rolling countryside and woodland on the Northamptonshire/Buckinghamshire border and based just off the A43 between the M40 and the M1 it is ideally and centrally placed for transport connections.
The stud is managed by Nicky Willis who has worked most of her life in the entertainment industry.
We train both horse and rider for all manner of unusual disciplines, from dragon fighting mounts for St George and English Heritage, through full contact jousting at the royal armouries, to ladies dainty steeds at the Victorian gymkhana and stocky native bred chariot ponies for Dark age re-enactment or Roman Chariot races.
We train individuals or groups in all historical periods of mounted skill at arms, emphasising horse welfare and riding skill as well as historical accuracy.
Nicky is an experienced carriage and chariot driver.
Several of our staff are trained with weapons and armour of many periods.
Extensive lands around the yard allow us to have several temporary camp sites available simultaneously, and we are in the process of installing showers, toilets and a club room. The land backs onto a long-distance circular bridleway across country for those who wish to venture further a-field or organise a cavalry patrol.
